GET INVOLVED

Preserving Our Town’s History

Large or small, your contribution to the New Brighton Historical Society plays a significant role in preserving our local history for future generations to come. We thank you for your support.

Volunteer

Call for volunteers! We are currently looking for volunteers to assist in ongoing Underground Railroad Walking Tours taking place from May–October. If you are interested, please get in touch.

Volunteer opportunities are also available during the occasional Irish-Townsend House cleanup. If you’re interested in donating your time, please let us know via the form on our contact page, and we will add you to our volunteer list.

Memberships

The New Brighton Historical Society is having a membership drive. It is an exciting time with the purchase of the Irish-Townsend House and we are always happy to welcome new members. Use the form on our contact page to receive more information, or stop by one of our monthly meetings to purchase your membership by speaking to treasurer Jane Mihalko. Dues are $20 per person for those 16 years of age or older, or $30 per family.

Donate

Help us continue to preserve and support historical projects within our community like restoring the Irish-Townsend House — a landmark that has been in New Brighton for over 150 years! To make an online donation, visit our GoFundMe page. Donations can also be mailed to 1229 7th Avenue, New Brighton, PA 15066. Please make all checks payable to New Brighton Historical Society.

The Historical Society is registered with RBC and able to accept stock donations.
